It contains 99% calcium carbonate without any synthetic components, heavy metals or toxic substances. This white aquarium sand is crafted to act as a buffer to water hardness and help create an environment with a higher pH level. It features smooth particles without any jagged edges and can be used in saltwater tanks to help photo-sensitive creatures such as coral to look more lively. This is also great for use with Aquatic Turtles, Terrestrial Turtles, Tortoises, Aquatic Amphibians, Terrestrial Amphibians, Invertebrates, Lizards, and Snakes.
