Start your aquarium using less sand with CaribSea Aragamax Sugar-Sized Aquarium Sand. This substrate is designed to buffer and deliver calcium, carbonate and trace elements to aquarium water for a healthy, pH-balanced environment. Oolitic sand is great for shallow aquarium beds and can help reduce nitrates in as little as one inch of depth. It contains no ash, metals, pesticides or silica and is safe for use with fish and invertebrates alike. Each sugar-sized grain measures approximately 0.2–1.2 millimeters in size and easily passes through the gills of gobies and other sand-sifting organisms.
