- Determine if you are going to dose straight from the bottle or dilute the product.
ATI Essentials Pro can be dosed either straight from the bottle or diluted. Dilution tends to offer a little more protection from
overdose, should you end up with a siphon or other accidental overdose. If you choose to dilute the product, we recommend
1 part Essentials Pro to 4 parts RODI water.
- Test alkalinity.
Before dosing, test the alkalinity of your tank and ensure it is between 7.0-8.0. If you need assistance achieving a KH value
between 7.0 and 8.0 prior to starting ATI Essentials Pro, please email [email protected].
- Dose equal amounts of Essentials Pro #1 and #2.
Visit doseati.com to calculate your initial dose, based on tank size and makeup.
- Test alkalinity at the same time every day.
The goal is to find a stable KH value between 7.0-8.0. It does not matter if it is 7.1 or 7.9, as long as the KH value remains the same.
If your alkalinity changes by 0.3 or greater – Adjust dosage immediately.
If your alkalinity changes by 0.1 or 0.2 – Continue daily testing until a noticeable upward or downward trend emerges.
Visit doseati.com to calculate your adjusted dose. If your alkalinity is going up, your dosage should decrease.
If your alkalinity is going down, your dosage should increase.
- Dose and test daily until alkalinity stabilizes.
A stable KH value should not fluctuate by more than 0.2 and it should not exhibit an upward or downward trend.
- After alkalinity stabilizes, test alkalinity weekly at the same time as your previous daily test.
Return to daily testing if KH value changes by more than 0.3.
